Soundgarden was one of the biggest bands in the world in the early 1990s. After earning their keep and building a profile on the burgeoning Seattle scene in the 1980s, the group was in the right place at the right time as the Pacific Northwest's grunge movement became the biggest thing in music and rewrote the history of rock.
